Designed for professionals who need rugged hardware, expanded connectivity, and stronger multi-device performance.

The foundation for secure remote connectivity.

The Scout is a compact, high-performance travel kit built for professionals who need reliable residential IP connectivity without unnecessary bulk. Small enough to fit into a laptop bag, it's ideal for coffee shops, hotels, coworking spaces, and international travel where privacy and connection stability matter. It includes professionally configured Home Base and Travel Router hardware for secure, dependable connectivity.

What the extra $20.00 buys — Scout Industrial: Foundation prioritizes compact Wi-Fi 6 travel hardware for everyday remote work. The Industrial upgrade adds a higher published travel-router WireGuard benchmark (550 vs. 300 Mbps), an additional Ethernet port, and microSD support. It is an upgrade in VPN processing and wired connectivity, rather than Wi-Fi generation; faster real-world service still depends on your internet connections.

Best For

• Secure remote work and residential IP continuity
• High-definition video meetings (Zoom, Teams, Webex)
• International travel and mobile work environments
• Privacy-conscious professionals

Performance Highlights

Residential Home IP Connectivity

Connect your supported devices to your own Home Base through an encrypted tunnel while traveling. Use only networks and services you are authorized to access, in accordance with employer policies, service terms, and local requirements. Account verification and geographic access rules still apply.

Intelligent Pathfinding (Included)

Every Scout kit includes our Mothership Link™ managed connectivity service. This managed connection layer supports secure connectivity over compatible home and travel networks, including Starlink, 5G Home Internet, and hotel Wi-Fi. Availability depends on the local network, equipment, and applicable access rules.

Plug-and-Play Setup

Your hardware arrives professionally provisioned and firmware locked. No manual coding or advanced technical configuration is required.

Firmware-Locked Security

Built-in network security controls help prevent unintended traffic leakage to local networks, helping protect your privacy and maintain secure connectivity while traveling.

Membership Flexibility

Flexible by design for globally mobile professionals.

• Pause or resume your subscription anytime
• No cancellation penalties
• Your hardware continues functioning locally even without an active subscription

Technical Specifications

Configuration / role	Device	Local Wi-Fi	WireGuard benchmark (up to)
Both Scout configurations — home	Flint 2 (GL-MT6000)	Wi-Fi 6, dual-band	900 Mbps
Foundation — travel	Beryl AX (GL-MT3000)	Wi-Fi 6, dual-band	300 Mbps
Industrial — travel	Slate AX (GL-AXT1800)	Wi-Fi 6, dual-band	550 Mbps

How to read these speeds: WireGuard figures listed are GL.iNet’s published maximum laboratory benchmarks for each individual router, not a guaranteed kit speed or a measured NHIP/Mothership Link speed. GL.iNet reports client-mode results; server-mode performance can be lower. Your actual connection depends on both routers, your home internet upload speed, travel internet connection, network distance, and routing conditions. Wi-Fi generation and band count describe local wireless capability, not VPN or internet speed.

Ideal Usage: 4K streaming, large file transfers, and lag-free video calls
